ISDN-BRI
ISDN (BRI) Basic Rate Interface provides two data channels. Depending upon your need or application, these channels can be set up to allow you to transmit and receive:
-
One channel voice (64kbps): one channel data (64kbps)
-
One channel voice (64kbps): one channel alternating to support either voice or data (64kbps)
-
Two bonded channels data (128kbps)
-
Two channels, alternating to support either voice or data (64kbps to 128kbps)
In the BRI configuration, there are two B (bearer) channels contained within the ISDN circuit. These carry the customer's communications. The remaining channel - the D (data) channel, provides control and signaling for the B channels.
