ISDN (PRI):

Primary Rate Interface is capable of transmitting at 1.544 Mpbs (23B plus D), and can be configured into as many as 24 phone channels. It is designed for telephone switches, computer telephony and voice processing systems.
The PRI is a trunk-type circuit and functions without a one-to-one relationship bewteen the individual channels of the T1 and the telephone numbers (DN-Directory numbers) assigned to the PRI. A single phone number or "block" of telephone numbers can be assigned to the PRI and not to a specific channel or group of channels.
Each ISDN (PRI) circuit has 24 channels, but can be configured as either 23B+D (meaning 23 usable channels, plus a single channel to perform signaling), or 24B (meaning 24 usable channnels) when provisioning at least one PRI with the 23B+D configuration.

Unlimited ISDN-PRI (Now available!)**

Unlimited ISDN PRI is the standard 23B+D PRI product (not available in 24B configuration) with unlimited local calls included in the monthly recurring rate.

*T1 (Trunk Level-1) is a digital transmission link with a total of signaling speed of 1.544 Mbps (1,544,000 bits per second) and is provisioned via a four-wire circuit, two wires for transmit and two wires for receive.

- PRI trunking in PBXs allow for consolidating trunk groups on a single PRI. Direct Inward Dial (DID) numbers over PRI allows for efficient management of large numbers of DID trunks.
Out-of-band 'D' Channels signaling provides a powerful and flexible mechanism for call control, network management, security and other applications.
Back-Up 'D' Channel
- Dynamic Bandwidth Network Configuration over 'B' Channels. (the ability of a communications protocol to change the amount of bandwidth allotted to each user while in use). This is a call-by-call service selection for services such as Direct Inward Dial (DID) and Direct Outward Dial (DOD). This is not currently supported by TDS Metrocom.

Not available in all areas.
ISDN (PRI) service must be purchased as a complete group of 23 or 24 channels.

**If unlimited local calling is selected by Customer, Customer agrees that the Service is being provided based on reasonable usage, and that use of the service for auto dialers, call centers or switching applications is not permitted and will entitle TDS Metrocom to terminate the Service upon written notice of the violation.
