Madison, Wis. (Feb. 2, 2010) – TDS Telecommunications Corp. (TDS®) announces, effective immediately, it will begin offering consumers a “Price for Life” guarantee on broadband Internet services bundled with phone packages. Consumers, and current TDS customers, can take advantage of the Price for Life guarantee and keep the pricing on their communications services constant for as long as they maintain the services.
“A pricing for life guarantee is a win-win for TDS customers who must make every dollar stretch further than ever before,” says Shane West, director of Consumer Marketing for TDS. “Our new pricing guarantee helps our customers, especially those struggling with continuing economic fluctuations, to plan and budget. It also keeps them connected with family, friends and employers during what may be the most stressful time many have ever endured in their lifetime.”
TDS estimates the Price for Life guarantee will save customers, who don’t currently bundle broadband Internet services with a phone package, about $180 a year.
New and existing TDS customers are eligible to participate when signing up for a TDS Star Bundle (includes broadband Internet, phone, and a choice of long distance minutes). Current TDS Star Bundle customers can also sign up for the Price for Life guarantee by increasing Internet speeds or long distance minutes. TDS customers will then enjoy the Price for Life for the balance of the product’s life or as long as they keep the contracted TDS services.
For extra savings, TDS customers can add DISH Network to the bundle and qualify for an extra $360 in savings, during the first two years.
