TDS Telecom is decentralizing its call centers and adding new employees in selected locations around the nation.
“Including right here in Monroe,” says Brian Gardner, market manager for TDS.
According to Gardner, TDS added 14 new full-time positions during the first quarter of 2008 in Monroe. He says, “TDS believes in championing local economic development, delighting customers and having a positive impact on the communities we serve.”
The 14 new employees will advise customers in two primary areas: technical customer operations and residential sales and services. While the technical customer operations advisors will provide technical assistance to TDS’ phone and high-speed Internet customers, the residential sales and service advisors will assist customers as they choose the products and services that best meet their needs. This includes local and long-distance phone service, Caller ID, voice mail, Internet, DISH Network, and product bundles.
