TDS celebrates Earth Day with employee recycling event
11,100 pounds of e-waste collected; 70 TVs dropped off
TDS Telecommunications Corp. (TDS™) employees dropped off more than 11,100 pounds of e-waste as part of TDS’ second annual home electronics recycling event. Held on April 22, 2009, in conjunction with Earth Day, employees dropped off 70 TVs, 67 computer monitors, 58 computers and hundreds of pounds of other electronic waste.
To help employees safely dispose of unwanted e-waste (and keep it out of landfills) TDS again teamed up with Cascade Asset Management to provide employees a responsible way to dispose of the electronic items hiding in closets and basements.
