Community Involvement

At TDS, being a strong local community partner is central to our mission and values. As a fundamental telecommunications service provider in your community we want to help make it a great place to continue to live and work. Connecting you with more technology and more people is what TDS is all about.

Our employees regularly make a difference by volunteering to connect more. They have been honored for their outstanding volunteer involvement—something we urge employees to do. And, we provide employees 16 hours of paid time off a year to do so.

As a company, we acknowledge and embrace our role as a responsible, involved citizen and community leader. TDS recognizes there are many worthwhile causes and organizations to support; however, our company has decided to focus on projects and programs within our serving areas that focus on:

• Educational activities
• Technology-based programs, and
• Community enhancement

Approval of requests is based on: available budget; ability to provide documentation for your 501(c)(3) status-W9 form (if applicable); activity located within our service area; and how closely your request ties with our areas of focus.
