Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) provides a life-saving connection between telephone users and people who use text telephones (also known as TTYs) due to a speech or hearing disability. To place a call, between telephone and TTY, simply call 711.
A Communications Assistant (CA) will process the call by typing all spoken words and then relays them for the TTY user to read. The CA then reads aloud the words the TTY user types back to the telephone user. There is no censorship. All conversations are private and confidential.
Relay services are available in both English and Spanish, 24 hours a day. For more information, call 1-888-CALL-TDS or simply dial 711 to be connected with TRS.
