DSL may not be available to all TDS Telecom customers because of distance and other technical limitations. Connection rates may be lower due to the length and condition of the telephone line, Internet congestion, server or router speeds, protocol overheads, or other factors that cannot be controlled by TDS Telecom. Not all speeds available in all areas; please call for availability. Those customers who reside in areas served by PON/fiber may be subject to different speeds and pricing.

DSL requires a local TDS Telecom phone line and a 12-month service agreement. Promotional prices good for new residential Broadband customers only. If service is cancelled prior to term agreement, a $99 early termination fee will apply. A one-time shipping and handling fee of $14.95 applies on equipment.

Minimum User Requirements

IBM and Compatibles:

• Pentium processor
• Windows 98/NT4/2000/XP/ME/VISTA work station
• Internet browser (Netscape Navigator 4.6 or MS Explorer 5.0 or higher)
• CD-ROM or DVD drive
• Ethernet Network Interface Card (NIC)* installed in the personal computer, with TCP/IP drivers loaded. (TDS TELECOM recommends either the 3COM Etherlink III (#3 C509B-TPO) for an ISA bus, or the 3COM Etherlink XL (#3C900-TPO) for a PCI bus).
• 25 MB of free disk space
• Minimum of 32 MB of RAM (64 MB RAM for Windows 2000/ME)

*Customer required to purchase and install NIC if you do not already have one.

Macintosh:

• PowerPC Macintosh computer
• MacOS version 8.0 or higher
• Internet browser (Netscape Navigator 4.6 or MS Explorer 5.0 or higher)
• CD-ROM or DVD drive
• Network Interface Card (NIC) installed in the personal computer, with Open Transport 1.2 or higher
• 25 MB of free disk space
• Minimum of 32 MB of RAM (64 MB RAM for OS 9.0

These requirements have been certified to work correctly with TDS Internet Services DSL. Technical support is only available for the above configurations. While other operating systems may function properly with TDS Internet Services DSL, they will not be supported by TDS Internet Services technical support. Please contact technical support for current rates associated with supporting additional operating systems.
