3-Way Calling allows you to add a third person to your phone conversation, either by calling both parties right away or by adding a third party to an established call.
- After reaching your first party, simply push your phone's switchhook or "flash" button. Dial the second party and push the switchhook (or flash button) a second time to connect yourself with both the first call and the second call.
- Either party can hang up at any time and you'll remain connected to the other party.
Talk to two people at once and cut down on your total phone time.
- Plan a group event without making several calls to narrow down options.
- Give a few people good news at the same time to avoid hurt feelings.
- Reduce the need for callbacks.
If the originator of a 3-way call hangs up, the other two parties are disconnected. If any of the "legs" of a 3-way call are long distance, applicable long distance charges will be billed to the originator of the 3-way call. Participants on a 3-way call can answer Call Waiting calls (with the exception of the originator), however, the Call Waiting call cannot be connected to the 3-way call in progress.
