How to configure your Actiontec DSL modem

How to re-configure your Actiontec DSL modem after a password change 


If you are a new DSL customer setting up your modem for the first time, follow the steps below:

Make sure your DSL modem is:

  • Plugged in (power cord)
  • Turned on
  • Connected directly to your computer with an ethernet cable (If there is more than one port in the back of the modem it doesn't matter which one you use.)

Next, make sure your DSL modem has:

  • A steady green DSL light
  • A green Internet light (solid or flashing; it doesn't matter)
  • A steady green, numbered Ethernet light (1, 2, 3, or 4 - it doesn't matter which one).

Once your modem's lights are all on, restart your computer and you should be able to browse the Internet.  If some lights do not turn on, check your cable connections again or call Technical Support for assistance.
