How to configure Mac OS X for a Static IP address

  • Click the Apple Menu
  • Click System Preferences
  • Click Network
  • In the Show field, select Built-in Ethernet
  • Select TCP/IP
  • In ther Configure IPv4 field, select Manually
  • In the IP Address field, enter one of your Useable LAN IP addresses
  • In the Subnet Mask field, enter your LAN Subnet
  • In ther Router field, enter your LAN Default Gateway IP address
  • In the DNS Servers field, enter 216.165.129.157, hit Return, enter 216.170.153.146
  • Click Apply Now
  • Close the window
  • Your computer should now be configured for your static IP address
