TDS Corporate Giving Policy

As a Company, we acknowledge and embrace our role as a responsible, involved citizen and community leader. The Connecting with our Communities program will provide guidelines for the support of non-profit, federally tax-exempt organizations as well as provide guidance to other marketing based sponsorships locally.

TDS recognizes there are many worthwhile causes and organizations to support, however, the Company has decided to focus on those projects or programs within its operating communities in these target areas: Youth Programs, Educational/Technology Activities, Economic Development and Community Enhancement.

While contributions and sponsorships may be made to worthwhile organizations not operating in the above-mentioned areas, this will be done on an exception basis.

Approval of a request for contribution in prior year does not ensure approval of the request for contribution in any subsequent year.  Factors affecting the approval process include the available budget, the committee’s guidelines, and the objective of supporting a range of organizations providing a variety of services within the target areas of support.
