Health and Welfare
We offer competitive medical insurance benefits that are designed to be attractive, affordable, and provide protection to you and your family. The Company pays the majority of the premium for medical coverage and employees contribute the remainder through pre-tax payroll deductions. The plan(s) available to each employee depends upon where they are geographically located.
Dental coverage is available through Delta Dental Plan. Coverage includes preventive services and some orthodontic services for children.
Participants may choose Vision Service Plan for coverage of periodic exams, eyeglasses, or contact lenses.
TDS provides Basic Life Insurance coverage to all full-time employees, in an amount equal to the employee's annual salary. Employees can also elect to enroll in Dependent Life Insurance and Supplemental Life Insurance.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Tax-free accounts are available for qualified dependent care and/or healthcare expenses.
Paid Time Off
As a regular full-time employee, you will accrue vacation according to the following schedule:

In addition, five personal days are given annually, prorated the first year dependent on date of hire.
In most instances sick time can be used during a personal medical disability or personal medical appointments. It can also be used when caring for an ill dependent child or parent.
The following are paid holidays observed by TDS: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
TDS encourages employees to lend their time and support to local volunteer programs. Eligible employees are paid up to four hours per quarter for Being Good Citizens. See how TDS employees are making a difference.
Saving for Retirement
TDS retirement plans assist employees in building a solid foundation for retirement.
The TDS 401(k) plan provides a company match of 100% on the first 3% and 40% on the next 2% of employee's salary deferrals. Employees (age 21 or older) are eligible to enroll in this plan after 30 days of continuous service.
Full-time employees with one year of service are eligible for 75% tuition reimbursement (within an annual limit) for continuing education in a work-related degree program, assuming a minimum grade level is achieved.
Telephone and Internet Concessions
Eligible employees who reside in our operating service territories will receive discounts on local telephone and Internet services.
TDS offers competitive benefits and paid time-off for eligible part-time employees working a minimum of 20 hours a week.
