As a part of your total compensation, TDS provides a comprehensive, competitive benefit package. The benefit plans address both the immediate and long term needs that you and your family may have. Here is a sample of what we have to offer for full-time employees.
Insurance
Medical
We have several medical care options available to assist our employees and their families with the high costs of medical insurance. The Company pays the majority of the premium for medical coverage and employees contribute the remainder through pre-tax payroll deductions. The plan(s) available to each employee depend upon where they are geographically located.
Dental
Dental coverage is available through Delta Dental Plan. Coverage includes preventive services and some orthodontic services for children.
Vision
Participants may choose Vision Service Plan for coverage of periodic exams, eyeglasses, or contact lenses.
Life Insurance
TDS provides Basic Life Insurance coverage an amount equal to the employee's annual salary to all full-time employees. Employees can also elect Dependent Life Insurance and Supplemental Life Insurance.
Paid Time Off
Vacation
As a regular full-time employee, you will accrue vacation according to the following
schedule:

Sick Time
In most instances sick time can be used during a personal medical disability or
personal medical appointments. It can also be used when caring for an ill dependent
child under sixteen (16) years of age.
Holidays
The following are paid holidays observed by the Company: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. In addition, five personal days are given annually, prorated the first year dependent on date of hire.
Investments
401K
The Company matches 100% on the first 3% and 40% on the next 2% of employee's salary deferrals. Employees are eligible to enroll in this plan beginning on their hire date.
Pension
The Pension Plan is a defined contribution plan that provides retirement benefits to eligible employees of TDS and its Affiliates that have adopted the Plan. Each calendar year, your employer will contribute an amount to the Plan, provided you are a participant (age 21 or older) and have completed 1,000 hours of service during each 12 consecutive months of employment.

Take Stock in Your Company! TDS provides you with a convenient and inexpensive way to purchase shares of Company stock through payroll deductions.
Flexible Spending Accounts
A tax-free account available for qualified dependent care and/or healthcare expenses.
Additional Benefits
Education Assistance
Full-time employees with one year of service are eligible for 75% tuition reimbursement for continuing education in a work-related course or degree program, assuming a minimum grade level is achieved.
Telephone and Internet Concessions
There is discounted local telephone service for eligible employees who reside in our operating service territories. Our Internet services are also offered at discounted prices for employees.
Personal Computer Purchase
Purchase of PC's, software, and related equipment at discounted prices is available with financing through the company. You are eligible after one year of service with the company.
Part-Time
*TDS also offers competitive benefits and paid time off for eligible part-time employees working a minimum of 20 hours a week.
