Connecting With Our New Team Members
We want to make sure you make the right connections from the start, so all new
employees attend a two-day TDS New Employee Orientation program at TDS headquarters
in Madison. (TDS Metrocom outside sales employees will have an additional three
days of training this same week). New employees will receive a Welcome Packet
with more detailed orientation information prior to their scheduled session. Here
are some Frequently Asked Questions about New Employee Orientation:
What will be covered during the TDS New Employee Orientation program?
Days 1 and 2 will cover "getting started" information. Topics include Company and Culture, Products and Services, Civil Treatment, and Compensation and Benefits. Also included in the two-day session is information on TDS' philosophy on customer service and quality.
What is the program timeframe?
The program is scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:30 pm each day.
Where is the headquarters building located?
TDS New Employee Orientation is held in the TDS Training Center, Suite 1000, 525
Junction Road, Madison. If you need directions, check

Where do I park at the headquarters building?
Parking is available in the ramp behind the building. Vehicles without a parking
sticker are required to park on the top (uncovered) floor of the ramp. Parking stickers are for Junction Road employees only.
What about meals?
Breakfast bars, lunch, and snacks are included for all participants during each
day of training. For out-of-town travelers, a continental breakfast is provided
at the hotel. Dinner is on your own. A list of local restaurants as well as the
TDS policy on meal reimbursements is included in your Welcome Packet.
What is the dress code for the week?
Attendees are expected to follow the company dress code; additional information
is included in your Welcome Packet. Contact your supervisor or Human Resources
with questions. Don't forget to check the weather so you can dress for the seasons:

I don't live in Madison. Do I need to make flight/hotel/transportation
arrangements?
The Human Resources team will work with you to make any necessary travel arrangements.
They'll book your flight if you are flying (your final itinerary and e-ticket
information will be included in your Welcome Packet). For all out-of-town attendees,
the HR team will also book you into our preferred TDS hotel (this is normally
the
Comfort
Suites, Madison). The hotel shuttle is available to pick you up from the airport
if you are flying in. It's also scheduled to bring all travelers to and from training
each day and it's available for rides to local restaurants and attractions in
the evening.
