Summer 2008 Nesletter

Keeping your account
information safe

To make it difficult for hackers and cyber-criminals to guess your account password, TDS has strengthened its password requirements. When creating passwords, keep the following hints in mind:

  • Must be eight or more characters in length
  • Use at least three of the four character types (upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and punctuation)
  • Use a combination of words and punctuation: Eggs, door, 123 = Egdoorgs123

Select letters from phrases such as “Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle” to create Hdd,tcatf, which makes it easier to remember but difficult for hackers and cyber-criminals to guess.

For your safety, create different passwords for every account and company you do business with.
